With summer around the corner, and registration open, I wanted to connect with you about what to expect for our summer fun. I am very excited to let you know that we have a summer packed with weekly themed camps, trips to the public library for arts and crafts, fishing, visits to the Eagle Center and farmers market, and well as to the Minnesota State Capitol, Colvill water park, the Children's Museum in Lacrosse and many other fun activities. I am also looking for parent volunteers. If you or your family has a hobby, talent, or even career-related topic to share I would love to get everyone involved.
I wanted to reach out and help boost everyone with great habits to starting our summer routine. When dropping your child off, please make sure you sign them in daily and when you are leaving be sure to sign them out, I do appreciate some form of verbal contact too when this transition is taking place, as summer is busy and we have many fun things planned, it just helps to see your smile and wave. I strongly encourage your child to bring a water bottle and sunscreen as we plan to spend a lot of time outside and be sure to label it with first and last name. Please remember to pack a cold lunch every day that your child plans to attend, as well as a snack for our afternoons. If you have a younger child attending our summer program, I encourage you to bring an extra change of clothes, as we all know accidents can happen. Please have your child bring sandals and towel if your child plans on swimming, again label everything with initials or first and last name.
Through our summer fun and adventures, we will be working together. We will be building a level of cooperation and respect that develops a real community atmosphere. We are more than a community, we are family. I am very excited for summer, to start a fun summer filled with memories! If you have any questions, concerns, or other items to discuss, please feel free to contact me. Many Blessings!
Ms. Hilary Post, Summer Coordinator
