WELCOME TO SIXTH GRADE!

HunterBaab.jpg

Hello St. Felix community!

My name is Hunter Baab, and I am honored and excited to be joining St. Felix Catholic School as the new 5th grade teacher. St. Felix has always held a special place in my heart, so having the opportunity to return and serve the school that helped shape me is truly a blessing.

I recently graduated from Winona State University–Rochester with a degree in Elementary Education. My wife, Sydney, and I are both lifelong Wabasha residents and proud St. Felix graduates. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch our own children walk through the same doors that helped form our faith, values, and some of our favorite childhood memories.

Our oldest daughter, Berkley (almost 4), will be joining the Kindergarten Readiness program this fall. She is just as excited as I am about my new role, although she likes to remind everyone that St. Felix is her school first! We also have Maisyn (2) and Kollyns (2 months), who keep our home full of love, laughter, and very little quiet time.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time outdoors hunting and fishing whenever I get the chance. I am looking forward to continuing to get to know the students, families, and parish community and creating many wonderful memories together in the years ahead.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I can’t wait to get started!
