Hello! My name is Ashley Buhr, and this will be my fifth year as the music and band teacher at St. Felix Catholic School. I graduated from Saint Mary's University, Winona campus in 2013 with a degree in music education; classroom and instrumental.  After graduation, I spent a year volunteering with Americorps, serving K-3 students who were below grade level in reading.

Music is a huge part of my life! I believe that singing, playing an instrument, or even just listening to music can be so beneficial to all people, and I feel so lucky to share the gift of music with the students and families of St. Felix.

While I'm usually doing something musical, I also love to play with my fiance and my dog, bake, watch football (Go Pack Go!), drink coffee, sew, read, and run. This summer, I'll be directing the Cotter Junior High School Marching Band, so if you're at any parades in the area, come say hi! Marching band is one of my very favorite activities, as it combines my love of the outdoors, physical activity, and music!

I am so looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year, and all the musical adventures we will share! If you have any questions, please contact me at abuhr@stfelixschool.org.
