Classroom Update (September 6-10, 2010)

Math: This week in Everyday Mathematics, we will be doing the following:                 

Monday: No School                                                                            

Tuesday: Section 1.8 (number grids)                                            

Wednesday: Section 1.9 (equivalent names for numbers

Thursday: Section 1.10 (counting patterns)                                 

Friday: Section 1.11 (relations and math centers)

 Reading: This week we will be doing the following:   

Story - Mr. Putter and Tabby Pour the Tea                    Grammar - We will be learning about commands, exclamations, and reviewing sentence punctuation.                                  Phonics - Blending words with /e/, /o/, and /u/                    Vocabulary Words - company, delighted, enjoyed, share, thinning, wonderful
Religion: This week we will be learning about the work of Jesus and the beginning of the church. Science: We will be monitoring the growth of our brassica plants. We will also be learning about the parts of a plant.
Wish List: None at this time. Art:  We will doing an at project called the "Crayon Breaker".
