Annual Minnesota Marathon for Nonpublic Education

The annual statewide event is held the first Saturday of October as a fundraising activity in support of nonpublic education. A committee of teachers plan and set daily goals for the students that reward the highest individual, the class and/or the school with fun group activities for bringing in the most donations. At the end of the school week, the students get fired up by having a pep fest to prepare for Saturday's event.

Students and families gather on Saturday morning for a send off led by prayer and a few words of encouragement along with the 6th grade class leading the way through the streets of Wabasha.

We conclude the event with a light lunch provided by the Knights of Columbus with help from the School Parent Association.
