Welcome to the Spanish Classroom
Week of February 20-24, 2012:

Pre-Kindergarten: We have been concentrating
on mi libro de animals (my book of animals). Every
day we learn a new animal and then for review we
act out the animals. In class we are always
reviewing numbers and colors. Kindergarten: We have been focusing on greeting and responses. Examples: Buenos dias, Hola, We have also been reviewing our animals, colors, and numbers daily. |
We have added filling out a monthly calendar
to our routines in Spanish class. We will be
working on labeling our calendar and putting all
the necessary information on it in every Spanish
class. We will continue to independently fill out
our weather logs. This will be an ongoing activity
for the rest of the year. We will also continue to
practice the “Padre Nuestro” (Our Father). We have
been working very hard on learning this entire
prayer in Spanish, and we are very close!! |
This week we will be learning about the verb
“Gustar.” Gustar means “to like.” We will be
learning about the different forms of gustar. We
will also be learning how to use say what we like
and do not like. |
We will be studying
different climates of travel this week. We will be
learning the different vocabulary that goes along
with these destinations as well. We will then be
introduced to Outcome #2’s final project. |
