Welcome to St. Felix! Welcome to the 2008/2009 school year website! This will be an exciting and challenging year for our students, staff, and parents. The excitement comes from building upon an outstanding educational program both academically and spiritually. We invite you to take a look around the website to learn more about our school. We are a community in every sense of the word. It is our community that has supported our students throughout this past year. I invite you to join me in a positive and confident manner that has always been characterized throughout the mission of our school. The testimony to the success of this mission over the years is frequently expressed by parents and grandparents in their gratitude for the education which they received at St. Felix School as well as for the excellent spiritual, moral, and academic education their students are currently receiving. St. Felix School has a solid core curriculum of Religion, Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Our students have the opportunity to study Spanish, Band, Art, and Technology as well. The current school year brings a lot of new and exciting programs such as a new reading series, a new band program, and an upcoming science lab. Spanish classes will be taught in every grade level. Our small class sizes are an asset for our children. It opens a world of unique learning opportunities for all of our students. Extracurricular activities include a basketball program for grades 4-6, Christmas Musical, Summer School, and Band. We are so grateful for the many blessings we share at St. Felix School – the leadership of our priest, a strong supportive school board, the efforts of exceptional staff, the support of our parents, and the excellent achievements of our students.
It is impossible to express the loving, caring family atmosphere created
by our faculty, staff, and by the wonderful families who continue to
place their trust in the Christ-centered environment present here. We
invite you to experience the family tradition of St. Felix School. Sincerely in Christ, Marsha Stenzel January Newsletter Happy New Year! My prayer for each of you was to enjoy a special time with family and friends during your Christmas break. We are not the same people we were before Advent filled our hearts with quiet hope and Christmas brought us warmth and light and joy. May God’s love enter into each of us in the upcoming ordinary time of the church year. I thank you from the depths of my heart for all of your Christmas gifts and cards. They mean so much particularly this year. As many of you know, my Father passed away on December 27. He left a legacy of compassion, good cheer, and faith. As difficult as it is to lose a parent, I know as a farmer, he is reaping the harvest of eternal salvation. Your comforting words, memorials, food, and cards will never be forgotten. Once again, thank you to my St. Felix Family. January will be the beginning of our basketball season. Please check the website for games and practices. All girls and boys home games will begin at 6:00 PM followed by 7:00 PM. St. Joseph Society will host their annual pancake breakfast on Sunday, January 11.
